Dear friends and countrymen,
Well this isn’t as bad as I thought. My classes are pretty easy and painless for the most part. I withdrew from a half semester class just because I didn’t want a 3 hour class on tuesdays and thursdays. I missed the drop date for that class by ONE DAY so I didn’t get a refund, but that’s the beauty of community college: It’s flippin cheap. I always knew even before settling on a community college that it is fiscally the right thing to do. And the semester is over halfway through and I’ve survived thanks to the support of all my friends.
The downside about this particular semester is that I got a one and a half week fever that kept me out of school for two weeks. While sick I missed the ENTIRE executive branch in American Government II which caused me to get what will hopefully be my worst grade in college: a 56. Seeing as how my last grade in that class was a 94, I was up-freakin-set. The sickness (oh-ah-ah-ah-ah) also kept me from knowing and doing my english assignments and when I finally turned my stuff in, a lateness penalty got added on so now I think I have a C in that class.
Ending on a happy note, I am getting only A’s in Speech. Most recently I forgot about a speech I was supposed to do and when my name was called I pulled an awesome speech out of my ass and got a 50 out of 50 on the content and a 40 out of 50 on the preparation stuff when I deserved a ZERO on the latter.
Only a few more weeks of this semester and hopefully a few more months of living in Dallas.
BYE!
