So my first year at college is almost over and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by. It seems just like a few weeks ago that I moved in and here I am about to move out in a month and a half.

Vet Turned Psychologist.
Number one, college has ruined my immune system. I was never really prone to getting sick very much. Maybe a cold once a year that lasted a week but other then that I was always pretty healthy. Man I have been really sick three times since I have been at college.

Wow! Sorry for taking so long to post a new blog.
This spring semester has been crazy. I have English, Social Psychology, Biology plus a lab, Orchestra rehearsals, and a dance class. All that school on top of the Hendrix events thats been going on and all this snow we have been getting!

It feels so wonderful to be home

I love the Christmas holiday its my favorite. Not for the presents although they are nice but I love giving others presents. And I love that my brother comes home for Christmas and I get to see him. It is nice having him around. And this year he brought home his girlfriend Susie who is very sweet and I like her a lot. So do my parents we think she is wonderful.

Well before I get to talk about finals first off going home for thanksgiving was really nice. It felt good to be home and get away for awhile. Have some true alone time because in college it’s hard to have true alone time. I spent this visit home with family because last time I was home I just spent it with friends mostly and then still missed my family.

I can’t believe my freshman year of college is already almost half over. It has gone by so fast! Faster then high school. I have final exams coming up and I’m nervous. And I’m also not nervous. I think I’m just nervous because they will be my first college final exams but I’m not nervous because it will just be like all the other tests I’ve had already just longer.

This past friday was Hendrix’s GhoastRoast party. Everyone dresses up and goes out to the brick pit to have a huge dance party. The whole week leading up to it was spirit week and each day was a different dress up day. For example it was dress like your favorite professor day or dress like a celebrity day. The whole week was tons of fun.

Another twist of college is that tragic, unfortunate, unexpected things happen while you are away and you can’t always go home to be with those who will comfort you. This past Monday, October 19th, my friend Tracy Fisher passed away. I was shocked and could not believe it was true. Tracy and I were in girl scouts together as kids. I remember that she was always so bright and happy. When she smiled, you just wanted to smile too because she had such a big beautiful smile.
