The freshmen 15? What freshmen 15, oh you mean the 15 pounds I’m in the process of losing? Ten down five to go. People talk about college and gaining weight as if they’re synonymous but this doesn’t have to be true. It’s actually quite simple to stay away from this weight. The days in paradise go round and round, papers come and papers go and I seem to be keeping up with it, well for the most part. The hardest part of the college experience is the missing of my friends, friends such as the ranger, edward, coop, and others who don’t even blog for mama. friends like mine it seems are hard to come by, the friendships from back home were forged through fire and brimstone loyalties have been proved through hard times, and no tests of such have come to be in the wonderful college experience yet. A romance of old re-awakens, the aspiring veterinarian is a long way away. Besides that all is going as right as rain.
Three weeks into college and intoxicated on freedom. Freedom to do anything and everything I want. It’s a powerful feeling; of course this freedom has made it “impossible” to write a blog. Classes are no longer redundant and tiresome, now they excite and electrify my intellect. My dorm is amazing and quite responsible. Everyone’s door is always open so everybody is always hanging out. Everyone is super friendly and the (rock) climbing here is superb, its like a dream come true except for writing papers but that’s ok, philosophy classes kick ass, and I get credit for reading books.
The american dream has come true for me, I’ve never felt so at home besides being in my own home. Just another day in paradise.
It’s finally happening I’m escaping the monotony of my city, the boring night scene and well lets face it the Texan girls. My escape shall be to California, home of the American dream, Hollywood, and scantily clad women. Things are looking good, but what about all my friends? (more…)
The name is Wes 257th in my class in high school, 3.0 GPA, award winning all American slacker. I’m a charmer or a trickster and I could always talk my teachers into passing me. It’s not that I’m lazy it’s a matter of motivation, why would I study something I am never going to use again. When I started writing this I thought it would be prudent to get a snack and here I am three days later, finally remembering to write this blog. (more…)
