Carol of Lightsss at Texas Tech

This winter on December 2nd Texas Tech hosted it’s 51st Carol of Lights, and it was FREEZING but so much fun with my friend Jennie. The Carol of Lights is an event where the Masked Rider and Raider Red plus all the Saddle Tramps sing Christmas carols with the Texas Tech choir. After that, Christmas lights are lit up all around the center of campus, and a huge Christmas tree in the very front of campus is lit up as well. It was freezing cold, but on while walking on the way there, many different organizations were selling hot chocolate and yummies.
My friend Jennie and I had a blast talking to all the different people and singing along with our mascot and Saddle Tramps.

It’s Been A While

Sorry Tam, I’ve been pretty busy with random things here. One big thing that I am excited about is intramural volleyball. I can’t remember if I talked about this in my last entry (because its been soooo long) but I am going to talk about it anyway. Team Awesome hasn’t been doing so great in terms of score and winning games..I believe we have a record of 1-2 but that’s ok because we are all getting super bonded and figuring how to play togther. I think in the playoffs we will hit our stride and kick butt and take names. (more…)

Cannot Believe We Lost!

Next year A&M better watch out. That’s all I’m going to say on that subject, just watch your back Aggies.

Ok so I had a intramural volleyball game last night, and I didn’t realize just how much I missed volleyball. It was so much fun playing with people I’d never played with before, the three guys on the team actually were probably the best ones on the team last night. But once I get back in the swing of things that will change. We won the first of the three games, but due to my over-serving the ball we lost the last two and lost the match. :[ Like I said give me one or two weeks and I’ll be back and taking names. I am really excited to see where this season goes with my new team! GO TEAM AWESOME! (I know lame name, I didn’t come up with it)

HALLOWEEN is this weekend!!! I literally cannot wait to go out Friday and Saturday night. One of parties I am going to is on a Friday night, which I don’t really understand why, but I honestly don’t care. My friend Katelynn and I are dressing up like the Mad Hatter and Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Katelynn’s boyfriend is going to be the White Rabbit. It is going to be a blast going to parties with them two nights in a row. On Halloween I want to go to Walmart late at night and see if I can find anyone to add to peopleofwalmart.com. That would just make my year if I could add to that website.

Fall Break

My fall break was extremely boring. I thought more people would be staying on campus, so I stayed in Lubbock. But basically everyone I knew went home or somewhere else for the 4 day weekend we had. (more…)

Family Weekend

I was wrong Family Weekend was awesome, it was so good to see my parents. I love them.

Parents are Coming to Town…Don’t Know If Im Excited :/

Tomorrow my parents come in town for Family Weekend. I have been doing really well out here by myself, and am in a routine of doing homework then going to a party or two or three or four over the weekend, but this weekend I don’t know if I will be able to stay in that rhythm this weekend. Love the hockey team at Tech!

Ok so this weekend I went to a hockey team party and I met a really hot guy on the hockey team. Then we went to another party and had a good time there too, I was texting the hockey player the whole time though. So I would recommend going to hockey team parties whenever you can, girls. (more…)

Best Night by Farrrrrr

So we wanted to go to the first Tech football game, but got there too late after staying at a frats tailgate for too long. So if you want to to go to football games at a football school my advice is get there EARLY. We are planning on getting to the Jones Stadium like a million hours early. So we went to a friends apartment and all his friends are HILARIOUS. (more…)

I love this town

Lubbock is small, but it has basically everything you could need, besides a mechanical bull. Classes haven’t been hard, over stressful, or extremely taxing yet, but I’m just waiting to feel the need to cry everyday. I have been going out everynight to random places, which I would not recomend doing on school night multiple days in a row. But I say it has been a learning expierence. (more…)
