Hi again!
So I’ve been back in school for over a month now and its so crazy! It seems like a few weeks ago that I was still at home for winter break! Anyway, this semester has been going okay. I love my classes, but last week was my first round of hell week for this semester. I had 3 quizzes, 2 exams, and 2 papers. I was going insane. (more…)

Hi everyone!
I know it’s been way too long. Toward the end of last semester, I was on the verge of going crazy due to all of the basketball games and performances we had to do for poms and finals week I was a big hot mess. So hello again and yes, I am still alive. My month home for winter break was amazing! I was definitely not ready to come back to reality and realize that I still have a whole new semester and all new classes to start. It’s especially weird to go home for a whole month. (more…)
2 and a half weeks…approximately 18 days until I go home for Thanksgiving break! I can’t wait! I get to see all of my best friends that I have been missing for 3 months, I get to sleep in my own bed, and be in the vicinity of DALLAS, TEXAS!! I didn’t think I would miss Texas that much, but I really have noticed how much I love it. (more…)
CSU closed for a snow day on October 28th!
so, I’ve been counting down the days until thanksgiving break…25 to go! I know I just went home 2 weekends ago, but going home made me see even more how I missed it. I went to my high school’s football game and saw a lot of my friends that came home that weekend, got to sleep in my own bed in my OWN room, and see my mommy, daddy, and pets that I’ve missed so much! You never really realize how much you love home until you leave it. (more…)
So…it’s Monday. Mondays are terrible. This week is gonna be horrible. I have a geology exam on Thursday in which I got a 63 on the first one after studying hardcore. I was depressed. But this means that I have to studyin 20 more hours to get a better grade. Womp Womp. AND I have an essay due in history on Friday and its about a book I read that I don’t even understand. Who knew college was hard!?

The stress is starting to pick up. Last week I had a paper due in my current world problems class (so boring), a philosophy exam on Thursday and History exam on Friday. It was so stressful especially since my first exam was terrible. I haven’t gotten my grades back yet, but I’m feeling pretty good about it. I have a philosophy paper due Thursday and either a paper or exam due every week until Thanksgiving break. AHHH!! (more…)
So last time I left you, I was preparing for my first exam in geology. I was so nervous and freaking out so I made 72 flash cards and studied my notes and read the book. I studied SO hard. I went into the xam with my friend Jenna who is also on poms with me and is a sophomore. She told me that she hadn’t studied at all and not to worry because this exam was going to be “super easy.” So I went into it feeling better because of what she told me. (more…)
So…. going into this school year all my teachers were telling me how surprising it is once you get to college how much more time you have. LIARS! At first it felt that way, until all my professors decided to have all of my exams in the same two week time span. Now, I’m a big stressed out wreck, wondering if I’m studying right and “Oh no, what if I don’t do well on the first exam, I’ll fail the whole class!” (more…)
It’s the third week of school and I’m still going strong thanks to red bull and starbucks. We had our first game last Sunday against our biggest rivals CU (U of Colorado) and WE WON! The last time we beat them was 5 or 6 years ago. It was an epic moment, especially when you get to stand on the sidelines and see the whole thing.
I never thought I would be standing on the sidelines of a 50,000 person stadium, cheering for my college’s team. My life dream was to dance in L.A. and go to UCLA at the same time. My mind definitely changed, but I must say that being on poms was a great decision. Yes, poms is a dance team. No, it’s not like cheerleading. Yes, we hold pom poms. My team at CSU is called the Golden Poms(GP’s) and we are basically the dance team for the school. A lot of schools have multiple dance teams: one for the band, one for the sports teams, and one that competes. What I like about GP’s is that we are all of that in one. It takes up A LOT of my time, but I really enjoy it. We dance with the band during all home football halftime shows, at a few basketball and volleyball games, and we also compete. Being a part of this team also means that I must take part in community events. For example, tonight I am going to a Coach’s Show where I’ll probably dance around and talk to local radio stations about this upcoming Saturday’s game. Also, for a person going out of state for college, it was great to go into my freshman year with 13 friends already.

Classes are still going well, but I gotta run because I get to read about the faults in the ground, asthenosphere, and volcanoes..oh boy!
GO RAMS!
So, I’m almost done with my second week of school and waking up at 6:30 doesn’t get any easier. It may be better if I had interesting 8 o’ clock classes, however I wouldn’t classify Current World Problems in the interesting category. When signing up for the class it sounds good, but NO I’m not into the whole politics thing and my professer rambles on about blahh blah blaahhhhh and I don’t even know. (more…)
