A Buckeye’s life in Kentucky

Hello to anyone that decided to read my blog! My name is Kara, Im 21 years old and going to school at Morehead State University in Kentucky. I am originally from Mt. Orab, Ohio, a small town east of Cincinnati. I’m the middle of three kids. I have a little sister that plans to come to Morehead next year and live on campus. Her boyfriend goes here also, he’s in his first year now. My brother, who is 24, graduated college from Mt. St. Joseph with a degree in math and chemistry and got a job with Proctor & Gamble right out of college. He worked there for a while, and recently joined the peace corps and is now in Africa teaching. He has a blog site so we can keep up with his life and see pictures of things he’s doing while he’s there. (more…)

Long Time No Blog!!

OK, so it has been a little while since I have blogged!! Sorry Tam!! well lets see…..what’s new with me. I went to Texas for Tam’s surprise birthday party with my mommy!!! It was a nice little break from Kentucky and I got a lot of questions answered when I started questioning my desicion to change majors, but Tammy, my mom and I all decided that I should stick with communications since I only have a year left at the end of this semester, I can always go back to school if I need to. I just really wish I was out of school and working all the time. I would rather work 8 hours a day than go to school!!!!! lol….oh well, one more year, thats what I keep telling myself!!!

Roommates are doing good, Kara is starting to question her major now, so I know what she’s going through. Tiny is still going to do the nursing thing. Kara and I have found two great guys that are in our lives now!!!!! It just happens that they are really good friends as well which works out because there are a lot of double dates!!!!! The guy I am talking to has already graduated from college which is a big plus in my mom’s eyes!!! lol…he is a graphic designer at the Morehead newspaper and he designs ads. The guy Kara is talking to is a physics major!!! lol…they are both different from any other guys we have dated before and we are starting to think that we were dating the wrong boys for a long time!!!!

well I have the day off and went to a meeting for my practicum earlier so I think I am going to just relax the rest of the day and do a little homework later on!! Blog ya later!!!!!

Life as a Kentucky College Girl

OK Tammy, I’m finally blogging!!!  Hope I’m doing it right.  Well were do I start?  I am a 22 year old who currently goes to Morehead State University in Kentucky.  I have not always been here for my college years though.  This is my 5th year as a college student.  I graduated High School 19th in my class with a 3.8 GPA.  I was a student who didn’t do a bunch of studying in high school but I managed to get good grades.  College was a wake up call!!!  (more…)
