Well the holidays were great. I got a job at James Avery where I ended up spending most of the money I earned! I spent a lot of time with friends and family and I went on a weekend trip to Denver this past weekend where I saw my roommate, my friend Ian who is at school in Wisconsin and lives in Durango, CO, and I snowmobiled (it’s the BEST thing ever!) and skiied.

Okay, I admit. The past post was pretty bad. I was quite down in the dumps yesterday. But like I said, I am an optimist, and things will get better. After I wrote that post I went outside to the beautiful snow and played around in it.

This isn’t how my first semester of college was supposed to be for me.
I had the guy. And the friends. It was going great. I was always busy with something or someone. But I feel like I’ve lost all that. I don’t have places to go anymore. I sit alone in my room quite frequently. The guy is gone. The friends are busy with their guys that miraculously managed to stick around. I get all my homework done because I have nothing else to do. And I just sit.

Spring Semester
Wow! Sorry for taking so long to post a new blog.
This spring semester has been crazy. I have English, Social Psychology, Biology plus a lab, Orchestra rehearsals, and a dance class. All that school on top of the Hendrix events thats been going on and all this snow we have been getting!
Pills, Bills and Refills
Being sick in college; it really isn’t fun. Of course, I don’t just get the common cold. I’m always sick with my wonderful Crohn’s Disease. Coming to college, I knew I’d at least have one flare up from the stress of moving away from home and the life I had set in stone. Changes cause stress. Stress causes flares. Therefore, change=flares.

My birthday was last week and I didn’t realize how hard it was going to be not having my friends around for my birthday. I guess I took for granted the fact that they were all home before and I could invite them to whatever little birthday shindig that I wanted to. I obviously couldn’t do that this year. But a lot of them called me and one sent me a present and candy 
Second Semester
Christmas Break was fantastic! I got to see my little brother, who is really starting to grow up. I went to Crested Butte, Colorado to go skiing with my family. We met up with another family, The Jordan’s, who we have been skiing with every year for the past 12 years or so. It was a lot of fun. My brother, Zachary, went down his first black slope (one of the hardest) this year. He did so well! I was very proud of him.
