So, I think I have found a solution to my sorority problem. I talked to the right people about my situation. I haven’t made a decision yet but I am closer. When I went to standards to talk to the president, financial advisor, and and standards committee, we were able to discuss more options.

It is so crazy how fast a year of college goes by, actually it’s even crazier how fast two years have gone by. Now that I am nearing the halfway mark of college, I realize how much I’m going to miss school and especially the University of Tampa. I plan on studying abroad spring 2011 so that means I only have 3 semesters left here!

As we ate in our sleep deprived state, we talked about how wonderful it would be if we could smoke inside of Denny’s. It occurred to us that there was a magical place where one could smoke indoors without consequence: Las Vegas. After about 10 minutes of consideration, it was decided that we would go and return in time for our friend’s grad review at 4 pm.
Full Story »Testing, Testing..
I’ve discovered one of my biggest complaints as far as testing in college goes. We study for days, up till all hours, all to sit in the testing room for 50 questions in 60 minutes. Most of us finish in about 30. We go crazy, sleep-deprived, ignore all other classes, and drink coffee like water. These exams count for large percentages of our grades. 30 minutes of our day makes up 30% of our grade.

Last week I had an epiphany, a revelation, a realization; that I had not just a collaborative story due for my fiction 1 workshop, but an original story written solely by me. And that’s when I quit sleeping.
Full Story »Paris…and a Greek decision….
First let me start by saying that spring break was way fun. I went to Paris with my mom, step-dad, step-brother, his girlfriend, my beloved little brother, and my best friend Meredith! We all stayed in a condo right off of the Arch de Triumph. We were only there for about 5 days, so I was bummed that we didn’t get to do everything we wanted to. But we did do a lot.

It’s almost finals time which is terrifying considering I haven’t really slept well in a long time and within the last 2 weeks (fortnight!) I have skipped sleeping at least 3 or 4 or 5 different nights. I could never live like that for an extended period of time and if all semester was like that, I would’ve dropped out ages ago.
Full Story »Call Backs!
Just a quick update as to the pending results of the auditions… I got called back to Emergency Prom, Bre’r Wood, and The Fantasticks! And Junie B. Jones hasn’t posted their list yet. That’s so exciting!!!! I went to my call back for Emergency Prom last night and it was a hardcore workout/movement exercise, but then we threw in some fun improv and some scene work and I really had fun!
Full Story »So much stress, but only one month more!
So, basically after spring break everything started to REALLY kick in. The month of April is going to be filled with so much. I have two final projects (both will probably end up being a power point presentation–more about them later), I have to keep practicing my piece for my jury during final exam week, Mu phi initiation is coming up towards the end of April, the Symphony/Choral Union concert. SO MUCH.
Full Story »Auditions!
AHHHH!!! Auditions for the mainstage shows next semester are this week. I literally just got back from my audition. I think it went alright? I sang Amazing grace, did a comedic monologue and a dramatic monologue–both of which I love because they mirror my life so well.
