Baylor University has been said to be “lowering their standards.” In September of 2009, the first term or my freshman year, Baylor’s newspaper, The Lariat, published an article entitled, “Freshmen: Larger class, lower scores.”

Earlier today I went home to attend a wedding. My sister’s best friend’s wedding. That’s not particularly odd, until you consider that my sister is 16 months younger than me and her friend isn’t much older than her. Two people about my age got married. That’s pretty terrifying.

Do you know me? I’m that book, that at one time or another, you thought might be a good read, so you picked me up, took me to the counter, paid for me, and took me home. The jacket cover said that I was going to be amazing, filled with mystery, maybe romance, and with an awesome adventure that you couldn’t put down until you finished the last sentence on the very last page!

WHERE TO BEGIN?!?! So much has happened in the past month! I have just recently returned from my scuba diving certification in Dunnellon, Florida. We went to a place called Rainbow River which was very beautiful. Besides crystal clear water there wasn’t really much in terms of fish. There were Bass and Gar I know, and a lot of other colorful fishes that I didn’t recognize.

I can’t seem to kick this cold. At least I think it’s a cold… My nose is clear but I’ve got postnasal drip which is making my throat sore and my voice has recently desserted me. I don’t have a fever, I don’t feel bodily aches and pains, I do feel sleepy at the most random times, and I haven’t lost my appetite.

Only a month into the semester and I feel like I’ve been in school for way more. So far I have all A’s in my classes. My goal is to keep up my grades and pull a 4.0. This is a high expectation but I think I can do it. I am more motivated this semester because I am in classes I actually like. I’m taking EDRD (education reading), Math, English, and Theatre.

Much has happened! I got into Lake Forest College in Illinois, received a wonderful scholarship, and am currently waiting on receiving my financial aid package. I am so excited! I have long finished all of my applications and have submitted everything, and now I am just waiting to hear back from all of the colleges in April

Number one, college has ruined my immune system. I was never really prone to getting sick very much. Maybe a cold once a year that lasted a week but other then that I was always pretty healthy. Man I have been really sick three times since I have been at college.
