COLLEGE ADVENTURES LLC
I have been working with teenagers and college students for over eleven years, and I cannot think of a better way to
spend my time and energy! I LOVE being a college admissions consultant! I taught at the university level for several
years, as a teaching assistant at the University of North Texas and as a Lecturer at the University of Texas at Dallas. My
interest in college consulting began when my own daughter began the college application process. The college search,
selection and application process is vastly different for our children than it was for previous generations. The "college
acceptance frenzy" and the competitive nature of applications is enough to confuse any student and family....and now we
have the economic downturn (which can actually be turned into an opportunity!). I am a Professional Member of the
Independent Education Consultant's Association, IECA, and have a Certificate in College Counseling from
UCLA. I have attended many conferences and visited many universities and colleges, most of all, I have had the
privilege of working with wonderful colleagues, students, families, and admission officers. I was honored to be mentored
by Rhea Wolfram, a Certified Educational Planner, and long-time member of the IECA. I am also working with AVID
students (Advancement via Individual Determination) at a local high school by providing volunteer college guidance.
